“To appreciate the beauty of a snow flake, it is necessary to stand out in the cold.”

It started snowing this morning for quite awhile then it stopped and picked back up again after lunch. So after Joel got home we bundled Josiah up in a snow suit and hat to take some pictures.

the doctor

Today Josiah went to the doctor for his four month checkup. He weighs 14 pounds 6 ounces and is 24 inches long. He is in the 25th percentile for growth and is doing great. We had to wait quite awhile for the doctor to come in so he just hung out in his diaper and played with the paper on the table. He was talking up a storm and moving around like crazy. Here is a picture of him waiting on the doctor.

Aubrey came over this afternoon and hung out with Josiah. They were laying on the living room floor playing with some toys and talking to each other. I ran downstairs to grab the camera and when I returned Josiah had grabbed Aubrey's hand and they were both smiling. Hmm...it may be a bit too early for hand holding with a girl, but we'll let it slide this time. Josiah - - - you've got to watch out for those pastors daughters.

having fun

well, i couldn't sleep last night so i decided to make a video from all the random clips that i haven't used on a movie yet along with some still shots that i haven't posted. after i put this movie together i think i may have created my favorite movie out of them all...except for the birth one...that is still number one. i love his smiles in this movie - he is so adorable. he's getting so big and the days are flying by so fast. i am so thankful that i get to spend every minute of every day with him. i wouldn't trade it for the world! and i couldn't thank joel enough for making it possible.

rice cereal

so we decided to try a little rice cereal for the first time Sunday night. i wanted to wait until he was a little older but he's been sitting with us at the dinner table and watching us very closely as we eat, he has even reached out for our plates. so he is having cereal at night a couple times a week. we'll break it in slowly. here's josiah trying it for the first time...

first laughs

wednesday night we had rufus and camizzle aka pastor justin and camille over for dinner before church. we were sitting at the table and justin was talking to josiah and he just started to laugh like crazy. it was the first time he's really laughed and we caught some of it on camera. enjoy!!

the hat

we still haven't heard much from you guys out there. i'm referring to the peeps that live OUT of missouri. Josiah finally is able to fit into the hat that auntie bekah got for him. he is way too cute! now i'm on the search for the perfect outfit to wear it with. hopefully he'll be sporting it to church on sunday!

This morning I caught josiah at the computer with joel. he was checking his blog and reading all the comments...or lack there of.

Last week Josiah started to really make some noise. Here is a quick video of him. The first half of the video is of him "talking" and the second half is of him during play time. He is doing great at holding his head up!
